What this site is, and is not
The Gold Barometer measures gold buying conditions and publishes a score from 0 to 100. It is a measurement, not advice. Nothing here is a recommendation to buy or sell anything, and nothing here is tailored to your situation. No dealer, mint or broker pays for placement, and none of them sees a reading before it is published.
How the score is built is on the method page. Where each number comes from is on the provenance page. Every change we have made to a reading after publishing it is listed in the corrections log.
Reuse
The daily scores and the images built from them may be reused with a credit to The Gold Barometer. Details and downloads are on the press page.
If something here is wrong
Write to hello@thegoldbarometer.com. Corrections to a published reading are logged with the date we received the report, on the corrections page.
